Family Nurse Practitioner and Lifestyle Medicine Provider

I completed my Masters of Science in Nursing at Yale University in 2016 and subsequently finished a Nurse Practitioner Residency at Lifelong Medical in Berkeley, CA. Following my residency, I worked as a family nurse practitioner and primary care provider in community-based federally qualified health centers throughout Connecticut. In 2023, I became board certified in Lifestyle Medicine.

I have an extensive background in health and wellness, ranging from managing public health programs in West Africa, to working as a certified yoga instructor and life coach, and providing reiki for patients at Yale New Haven Hospital. Serving on the frontlines of healthcare, I experienced not only the health struggles of individuals and communities, but also the power, beauty, and resilience of people, no matter their circumstance in life, genes, or health history. It became clear how our current healthcare system is ailing in many ways.

I'm now part of a growing movement of healthcare workers who are reimagining what healthcare can and should be. For me, that means healthcare that honors the whole person, sees human potential rather than focusing on deficits, addresses the underlying causes of imbalance and disease, is affordable and equitable, and ensures both patients and healthcare workers thrive.

On a personal level, tending to my own health challenges through lifestyle changes teaches me humility and respect for the wisdom of the body, and reinforces that self-care and healthy living can be joyful. My meditation and spiritual practice supports both my lifestyle and clinical work.

I look forward to getting to know and work with you!
